Barceló debuts in Bahrain with new hotel opening

Four-star property features rooftop pools and sea views

Bahrain has welcomed a new luxury destination with the opening of Barceló Hotel & Residences, Bahrain, marking the group’s expansion in the region and debut in the kingdom.

Currently operating more than 20 hotels in five countries across the Middle East and North Africa, Barceló is expected to open properties in Oman and Saudi Arabia later this year. 

Situated in the capital Manama, just 9km from the airport, Bahrain's new four-star property brings Spanish hospitality to the historic and vibrant Seef district, close to major shopping attractions such as City Centre Bahrain, the country’s largest mall, and The Avenues Mall situated along Bahrain’s Bay.

Accommodations include 195 rooms and suites spread across 20 storeys, topped by a rooftop with views over the Arabian Gulf.

Rooms span seven categories, including interconnected rooms for families and spacious suites of more than 100 square metres, all with sea or city views and modern amenities, some offering private balconies and most including extra spaces.

The 169 square-metre Royal Suite comes with a private balcony with sea views, a fully equipped kitchenette, sitting room and dining area.

The hotel has four restaurants and bars, with all-day dining venue ADD offering international flavours, while at A la Carte, guests can feast on dishes rooted in Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine.

A rooftop terrace is home to two pools, one for adults and one for children, plus a poolside Sports Bar terrace that offers drinks alongside big-screen sporting action and sweeping views of Manama. There’s also the Lobby Coffee Lounge, serving snacks and beverages.

Facilities include a state-of-the-art spa, fully equipped gym, supervised kids’ club, a business centre with two meeting rooms, as well as a club lounge providing a private space and all-day refreshments.

With a portfolio of over 300 hotels in 30 countries, Barceló Hotel Group is expanding into key markets in the GCC and Egypt, adding to its 20-strong portfolio including hotels in Oman, Dubai, Sharjah and Cairo with this new property in Bahrain and is set to make its debut in Saudi Arabia, with a hotel opening before the end of 2025.
