The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection unveils 2026 Alaskan voyages

Itineraries will visit 11 ports across Alaska and Canada

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has unveiled its inaugural Alaska itineraries, with the first departure scheduled for May 2026.

Marking the brand’s debut in the region, the 13 voyages will depart from Whittier, Alaska and British Columbia between May and September 2026 aboard newest superyacht Luminara.

The first luxury hotel to launch a superyacht, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection brought its five-star service to the high seas in October 2022 with Evrima. It has since unveiled two more superyachts: Ilma, which set sail in September 2024, and Luminara, which departs from Rome on 31 July 2025 before embarking on voyages in the Asia-Pacific region and Alaska.

The Alaskan voyages will last between seven to 10 days and include visits to 11 ports across Alaska and Canada.

“The intimate size of Luminara allows us to visit smaller, less-travelled ports, providing our guests with a more immersive way to experience Alaska’s natural beauty and wildlife,” said Jim Murren, CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

Passengers will get up close with nature, as Luminara journeys through Alaska’s rugged fjords and ice-capped landscapes, passing Sawyer Glacier and Hubbard Glacier, and stopping at coastal towns Valdez and Petersburg and the ports of Haines and Prince Rupert, as well as lesser-visited locations such as Klawock, a village on the western shore of Prince of Wales Island surrounded by rainforest.

With time in port, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection offers guests an array of personalised shore excursions, from soaring over Icy Strait Point on the world’s longest zip line ride to taking a helicopter flight over the 1,500-foot cascades at Mahoney Falls.

While navigating fjords and glaciers, passengers will enjoy sweeping views from their private terraces aboard Luminara.

The 794-foot-long yacht, whose Latin-derived name means ‘light’, can accommodate 452 guests in its 226 spacious suites, each offering an ocean-view terrace. Gourmet dining experiences include a Middle Eastern concept by Michael Mina for Beach House and an art-inspired jazz and cocktail bar. The ship also has a Ritz-Carlton-branded spa, a wine vault and a marina with direct ocean access.

Service is elevated, with nearly one crew member to every guest and a dedicated personal assistant attending every suite.
